Find your size

There are several different lengths of ring slings and fasteners. Which size is best for you and your child depends on several factors. Within coils, we talk about what is called "base size". Most people start with a wrap in their base size. Your "base size" means the size you need to be able to easily tie a "Front Wrap Cross Carry" also known as FWCC.

Tutorial: How to tie a FWCC

Your base size depends on what size clothing you wear on your upper body.

XS or smaller: Size 5

Size SL: Size 6

XL-XXL: Size 7

3XL +: size 8

It is important that you have enough fabric to work with when wrapping so that you can comfortably tie a secure double knot. The difference between the sizes is only 50 cm, so if you have to choose between two sizes, I always recommend that you choose the longer of the two.

You will notice that there are shorter coils (sizes 1-4). These short wraps are used for alternative ways of tying that use less fabric.

Approximate length of fixed winder after washing:

Size 8: 570cm
Size 7: 520 cm

Size 6: 470 cm
Size 5: 420 cm
Size 4: 370 cm
Size 3: 320 cm
Size 2: 270 cm
Size 1: 220 cm

RING LOOP

Ring slings are worn in only a few ways and do not vary in size to the extent that fixed wraps do. People of most sizes can comfortably fit a standard length. Our extra length ring slings may be the right choice for you if you use a size XL +, want to use the sling to carry the baby on your back, want to use it on top of thick outerwear, or if you are tall and like long decorative tails on your sling.

Ring slings (short / long side, measured without rings):

RS extra length: 210/230 cm

Hug slings: One size (190/220 cm)

ON MEASUREMENT of slings and coils

Fabric is a living material that contracts with washing and stretches with use. Depending on how they are washed and how they are used, they contract and stretch more or less. The stated lengths are approx. measurements after washing. The lengths are approximate and may vary by up to 10%.

Fasteners and slings are measured correctly with the "soft tape in hand" method - often abbreviated STIH. With that method, the wrap is measured by hand with a soft measuring tape. If measured flat, lying on a table, they will appear shorter than they are.
